- LLFD is a 100% volunteer department with no on-site staffing
- We are minimum Firefighter 1 trained with flexible EMS staffing up to EMT-Paramedic
- We are a non-hydranted community. We have five lake driven water points with an unlimited number of gallons available that are accessible year-round.

- We have un-signed agreements with the City of Whitewater, City of Elkhorn, Village of Palmyra, and Village of Eagle for hydrant water as needed.
- Our only engine has 1,000 gallons on board with a 1,250gpm mid mount pump
- We have two water tenders with 3,000-gallon tanks and 1,000gpm front mounted pumps serving as backup engines.
- We have 7,000 gallons of water at our station on initial response.
- We are members of M.A.B.A.S. Division 103 for mutual aid box alarm requests. A Request to the 5th alarm will draw nine engines, four trucks, fourteen tenders delivering approximately 42,000 gallons of water, ten squads, three ambulances, and ten chiefs.
